On The Mountain

The residential compound is sited on a dramatic wind swept hillside with Howe Hill as a backdrop and long views to Penobscot Bay ahead. Situated comfortably in a traditional agricultural landscape the buildings sit comfortably at the crest of the sweeping hillside. Designed to evoke a contemporary collection of vernacular farm buildings from the exterior they present a serenity within the interior spaces as exemplified by the graceful arched ceiling in the main space.
